Lost Boys: The Thirst

Those of us who remember vampire movies before all this horrible teen vampire drama became all the rage, or even the equally horrible hillbilly vampire stories started, (switchblade teeth…really?), will have a moment of ‘Awww’ when remembering Lost Boys. Then they’ll watch this trailer and say AAAHHHHHH!!!!

The original Lost Boys is a gem of 80′s cinema. Creepy, well acted, good twists, and some nice action, not to mention some unforgettable performances from the Corey’s. The 2nd movie in the series, (read what I thought here)…not so much, even with the Haim cameo at the end, (which now they cannot fully expand upon, but I’m sure they’ll be a heart wrenching scene involving Edgar remembering/telling how he slayed his buddy).

Now there’s a 3rd in the series coming, direct to video, of course. The use of the song from the first movie is a nice trap, but don’t fall for it! Hopefully this one will have some better acting in it than the 2nd, but I’m not holding my breath.

Yes, of course I’m going to watch it, because that’s just what I do!
