Grown Ups

Had a chance to see Grown Ups this weekend, bonus part is while watching the movie I enjoyed a great sandwich and a frosty beer. If you live in the Seattle area I highly suggest you give Cinnabare a chance (http://cinebarre.com) They have locations all over including Mount Lake Terrace. Just remember its 21 and older only.  Ok enough of that. (oh and if you get this plug Cinebarre, I want some free tickets)

Grown Ups stars……. heck just about everyone. Lets see if I can remember everyone.  Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, Selma Heyek, ummm David Spade, Kevin James, Steve Buscemi, and so many other familiar faces from so many other Sandler movies you have seen in the past.

Now I think that this is a good spot to tell you why I enjoyed the movie so much, I don’t want to spoil a lot of the little things in the movie, you can see from the cast above that its a stellar comedy, but remember the other Sandler movies that made you laugh so hard you could hardly breath. You know the ones that you would watch every chance you got and still get a chuckle even though you knew every line.  Well Adam has grown with us over the years, his movies use to be same drunk, slap stick stuff we would pull off in our fist apartments, to this movie. Grown Ups, So perfectly titled. Adam has grown up with us and his writing has to, now its about friends he doesn’t see as much as he would like, people he has lost that have meant so much to him, kids that he doesn’t understand and a wife he needs to get back in touch with, yet he still does it and makes us cry with laughter at the same time.  Thanks Adam! Keep it up!

Now this movie is not depressing like Click was, don’t get me wrong I thought it was a great movie but it was quite gut shot in the end. This movie is more like Couples Retreat where its like a kick in the pants while at the same time reminds you why we are all here. Family Friends and loving the journey that is life. IT was a great movie and I enjoyed the cast worked so well together, it was quite a treat.  If you get a chance to see this movie, please make sure to tell me what you thought. I think that everyone will get a little something different from the movie.
