As an avid gamer, with a softer spot than most for video game movies, I see this trailer and quiet enthusiasm wells up from within. Word on the street is a potential director is trying hard to get the helm of a Mortal Kombat reboot that has been stuck in development hell. So how would such a person go about getting the attention of Warner Brothers?

How about directing a gritty R-rated short film showing you want to take the source into an entirely new direction… that’s how! Be advised, there are some disturbing images.
