Big Bang Theory
This is one of the shows I truly look forward to each week. I bet your surprised I haven’t done a post on it earlier, aren’t you. Yeah I didn’t think so either. If you have been a fan like me, or you refuse to add it to your “watch” list like some people I know, what ever the case may be hit the link and follow along, and I will try to give you the run down on what makes this show work.
The Big Bang Theory, basically is about these four dorky, geniuses who happen to luck into having a beautiful blond move in next door. The girl is played by Kaley Cuoco, her name is Penny. She is what a typical male would want to move as their neighbor. Tall, blond, and stacked. Jonny Galecki (best know for being the boyfriend in the TV show Rosanne) and Jim Parsons play the genius who luck into this little adventure, although they don’t know what to do with it, and it shows every single episode.
Jonny Galecki plays Leonard the only partially sane one in the group. He brings just enough even keel to the character’s that you believe that he is a genius but not overly in your face about it like the next star. Jim Parsons plays Sheldon, and let me tell you what HE is the reason I tune in every week. He plays this part to a tee. He is so “logical” that it just adds humor to about every situation. Sheldon’s character has so many lines that will make you curl over in laughter, and he is like an obsessive compulsive when it comes to his routines, and the writers have done a great job about making sure they didn’t miss a thing. (good job by the way guys!)

There are two other main geeks in the line up. These guys offer the perfect balance to the group. Simon Helberg who plays Howard Wolowitz, is the self proclaimed ladies man of the group although he still lives at home, with his mom. Its way to much fun listening to those two yell thru the walls at each other, as we have never actually seen his mom. The fourth and the wittiest one is Rajesh, played by Kunal Nayyer, he is the last genius, and he is one funny Indian, when he talks you just have to listen cause some of the things he says under his breath will make you crack up. One problem he has is that he can’t talk to women unless he is drunk, this is always funny when any ladies are around, he can’t speak, or if he is drunk he says the wrong thing.
As I have watched this show since episode one, I really couldn’t say enough good things about it. The writing is very spot on, the character balance is perfect, and the writers keep thins moving along thruout the seasons so it always feels new and fresh. Leonard has had a crush on Penny since the first episode, heck they all have, well maybe not Sheldon, but this year Leonard has actually gotten together with Penny and let me tell you what, its some funny stuff. Take my word for it, tune in and check it out. It may take you an episode or two to get caught up but if you don’t laugh, I’ll come over and take out your trash for you*.
*disclaimer notice, I will under no circumstance come to your house and empty your trash, even if you hated it. (sorry!)
